Rules – End of Year Awards

Note: Awards are confined to Club members only

All Awards are calculated on points won at RKC Championship Shows

Top Dog and Top Bitch

1st in class = 5 points
2nd in class = 4 points
3rd in class = 3 points
4th in class = 2 points
5th in class = 1 point

Additional points are awarded as follows:

BOS & BOB = 5 points
BOS = 4 points
RBOS = 3 points

Top Puppy

Points are allocated as above, with an additional 5 points for Best Puppy In Breed. Best Puppy in Breed points are NOT used in the calculation for Dog or Bitch of the Year.

Top Veteran

Points are allocated as above. An additional 5 points are awarded for Best Veteran at a Championship show where a Best Veteran is declared. A dog will qualify for veteran points as soon as it turns 7 years of age. Best Veteran points are not used in the calculation for Dog or Bitch of the Year.

Top Stud Dog and Top Brood Bitch

These two awards are calculated on points won by the progeny for their sire and dam. Points are as above. Any points won for Top Puppy and Top Veteran will be used in the calculation of this award.

Top Breeder

This will be calculated on points won by all dogs bred by one person or partnership.

Top Kennel

This will be calculated on points won by all dogs in the same ownership.

Top Red and Top White

This will be declared from the calculation of points in dog and bitch of the year
